From the brand : The exquisite matte-finish nail polish formula guarantees one stroke, high-pigment matte perfection. Its superior patented two-fold plasticizer prevents chipping. It contains a UV filter that resists discoloration and offers a rich color pay-off. Smooth and gorgeous coverage in a single coat and a stunning, plumping effect in a double coat. These beautiful shades will make sure your nails are best-dressed always.

Sapphire Dreams 115 : This deep blue hue is well put together like a piece by Gershwin! Put it on girl because you are gem! Strawberry Shortcake 139 : Spice up your manicure with this bright pink shade. Go ahead, dip your pinkies, put your favorite heels on and conquer the world with pink!

My experience : The shade Sapphire Dreams reminds me of royal blue ink we used in fountain pens during childhood. It is a rich, deep jewel toned blue that is universally flattering. The nail polish bottle is made of frosted glass with a matte black cap. The product dries pretty quickly and gives a satin matte finish. The texture feels thinner than the previous collection which makes application even and hassle free. This particular shade requires two coats as the first coat is a bit streaky.

Strawberry Shortcake is a lovely raspberry pink that any girl would love. It looks a bit darker indoors when compared to the nail swatch taken outdoors in natural light. The finish is gel matte and application is a breeze due to the light creamy consistency. It is opaque in the first coat itself but for best results, I’d suggest two thin coats.

Both the polishes remain intact for 3 days – no chipping or peeling. After this the matte finish might start fading and you may begin to see it coming off at the edges especially on your dominant hand. Removal is easy enough, the USP though would be the colours. The festive matte collection has some stunning shades. The earlier collection had pastel / sorbet colours and some of them made my hands look dull. This time the texture has also been improved.

Pros :

  • Shades suit Indian skin tones
  • Matte finish
  • Applies smoothly

Cons :

  • Sapphire Dreams is a bit streaky

Verdict : A +

Price : Rs.199 / 9 ml

Recommendation : These nail lacquers tick all the right boxes – shade selection, matte finish, smooth consistency and decent wear time. In my opinion the formulation is better than the earlier matte collection which was on the thicker side. If you haven’t ever tried matte nail polishes, definitely get one now.
