TRUE TEAL 2

Guest review by Papri Ganguly  (Skin type: Combination to oily, Skin tone: Fair)

Colored eyeliner is quite in fashion these days. The brand L’oreal had introduced some colorful liners in their infallible range last year (6 shades which are pigmented, colorful and buttery soft in texture). I have my own in the shade true teal, so today I’ll share my review on the same. Let’s begin :)

TRUE TEAL 1

TRUE TEAL 5

Packaging : The liner comes in pencil form with a bright and glossy color-coded body, so mine has a vibrant teal color and a transparent plastic cap. The brand name and range are mentioned on one side and the shade name is mentioned on the bottom of the pencil. One has to sharpen the pencil to get a nice and precise tip which leads to wastage in my opinion.

Shade : A vivid teal color with nicely milled shimmer which looks so cheerful and summery. Perfect for spring or summer time. You also can style it with a glamorous party look for sure.

Pigmentation : Incredibly pigmented, just one swipe and you are good to go. Fully opacity in just one application.

Texture and formula : Soft and smooth texture, glides like a dream without tugging. It goes on smoothly and effortlessly as well. Buttery soft formula gives nice and even application in one stroke. The shimmer is finely milled which doesn’t appear chunky or over the top. The formula needs some time to set, after that it does not smudge, budge, smear or flake off if not rubbed hard. If you want to smoke it out then do it immediately after applying the eye liner, otherwise it doesn’t smudge well.

TRUE TEAL 3

TRUE TEAL 6

Staying power and color payoff : The pigment stays on me for 6-7 hours with little fading but that is negligible. It is the creamiest colored kohl ever; it is rich and pigmented and has amazing color pay off. After setting, it doesn’t move or chip off. It can be removed only by a makeup remover.

Pros :

  • Smudge proof and water resistant formula
  • Smooth and velvety texture
  • Vivid and colorful summery shade.
  • Incredibly pigmented.
  • Decent staying power

Cons :

  • Expensive
  • Doesn’t come with its own sharpener
  • Sharpening causes product wastage.

Verdict : A+

Price : Rs.575 for 1.10 g

Recommendation : This is by far the smoothest, creamiest, colored kohl I have ever tried. It doesn’t move, chip, or smear if not rubbed off. It stays on for 6+ hours on my eyes with a tad bit of smudging and fading. I am really happy to have this in my vanity. If you are planning to buy a colored liner or want to elevate your eye makeup game to another level then go for the L’oreal paris infallible silkissme eye liner in true teal.

Yes Aditi, it stays on the waterline for pretty good hours. Do give this a try.

It might be a tad pricey, but the quality seems to make up for it! I love that teal shade.

I like this range from L’Oreal except the fact that the liners are required to be sharpened.

Yup, and doesn’t come up with own sharpener.
