I had been looking for a scented non-greasy hand cream for quite some time when I came across this berry based hand cream. The Face Shop had launched the Daily Perfumed Hand Cream range consisting of 10 hand creams. Mine is 04 Berry Mix which contains 90 mg of berry mix (cranberry, blueberry, blackberry, raspberry).

Packaging : The hand cream comes in a pale blue matte plastic tube with an octagonal screw cap. The screw lid secures a hole at the opening to dispense the product as you squeeze the tube. Like all other products from The Face Shop, all the important information about this hand moisturizer is to be found in multilingual format. Overall, the packaging is very simple yet classy. It is very sturdy and fits into my handbags quite nicely.

Colour, Texture & Finish : This berry infused hand cream is pure white in colour. The consistency is light, creamy and very smooth. It gives perfect matte finish without leaving any sticky residue behind.

Fragrance : The hand cream has a very appealing berry fragrance. When I take the cream out, I can sniff the fresh fruity scent in it. As I start massaging it into my hands, the top note fades away and there is mild raspberry kind of smell. The fragrance is not very long staying or overpowering though.

Effectiveness : As I cross my mid 20s, my hands are starting to get drier. I got this hand cream for maintenance purposes. I do not like overly moisturizing products for my hands and I also find myself leaning more towards berry products – this is how this hand cream found its way into my vanity. I apply it twice daily; morning and night. It seeps into the skin very fast and settles giving a matte finish. After 2-3 minutes I cannot feel its presence, the dry and stretchy feel of my hands vanishes. Less is more with this product; a pea-sized amount is enough to moisturize both my hands.

This hand cream contains extracts of four types of berries; blueberry, cranberry, raspberry and blackberry. Other than that, the constituent list includes hyaluronic acid which helps retain the moisture in the skin and gives youthful hands. Overall, I find this a good everyday kind of hand moisturizer. It could have been better if the lovely berry fragrance stayed a bit longer.

Pros :

  • Gets absorbed quickly and gives non-greasy finish
  • Contains extracts of cranberry, raspberry, blueberry and blackberry
  • Decently Priced
  • Full ingredient list is mentioned

Cons :

  • May not be enough for extremely dry hands
  • Fragrance is not long staying

Verdict : A+

Price : INR 300 for 30 ml

Recommendation : I will recommend this hand cream to all berry fragrance lovers and anyone else who wants a light, non-greasy and scented hand cream for daily use.

I am very picky with my hand creams, so I understand your quest for the perfect consistency. This sounds like a nice one, though! I don’t have super dry hands and don’t mind scents so long as they are not over-bearing, so this sounds like a good option for me.

Thanks Chris..If you have very dry hands, you will have to reapply it after 3-4 hours I think..
