We’re back with another edition of our #MyWeekInOutfits feature. In this volume, we have Angélique giving us a peek into her wardrobe. So without further ado, lets hear from the woman herself.

The Low Down

Who : Angélique Raina

Profession : Strategy Consultant

Angélique says, “As a young child growing up in London, the closest Tube/Underground station was either Knightsbridge or Sloane Square. On the way to anywhere, my mother and I would see all the beautiful stores that lined Sloane Street. I started suggesting changes to store windows and other things pretty early on in life and never really looked back; just needed to find brands that listened!

I’ve always been involved in fashion, in my head at least. My first internship at 16, was at a production house coordinating shows for fashion week. And then I moved on to assisting the founder of a luxury cashmere house. After returning from University, I moved into PR, which lasted 6 months and then I found this. Marketing for brands ever since. I’ve been doing strategy consulting for 8 years. As a consultant I try to change how the people behind the brands, think, feel and then in turn make decisions for their brand and the same for the people who purchase from it.

My work revolves around building their narrative and creating a belief system for their patrons. From some, strategising campaigns to curating collections, conceptualizing events, and sometimes down to even the consistency of their email language vs. existing brand language — one could define it as being a custodian of their values.

My Work Style

Black on black on black. I have a 40 piece work wardrobe that I rotate. Its simple, monotone, comfortable and doesn’t require many clothing decisions so I can leave the door without any aesthetic worries. Custom black straight pants or leggings are staple. Could not live life without them. Dressing up is for occasions, and then its all just fun.

My Skincare Regime

My skin is pretty sensitive, I try to respond to it as and when. In the mornings, I apply ice every day, always. And Clindac medicine day in and day out to prevent any blemishes. Usually follow it up with a clear primer from Smashbox as a protective layer and Grapeseed oil if the weather permits. My night time routine is – Absolutely nothing!
As far as makeup is concerned, I love clear primers and mascara. Maybelline really does have ones that last the longest. I don’t have any special skincare routines for big events, can’t be more important than a normal day anyway.”
