This is Sukanya. I came across your blog pretty recently and like many others got pinned… hook, line and sinker. I’m a Sales Manager by profession and frankly i think the target point of your blog is the honesty. People love and rely on it only because of the honest review. For the fact that you call a spade..a spade. I just went through your write-for-me section but i realize it’s quite a dated one. Hence i was wondering if you were still interested in new reviewers. Nice blog. Though I am new bt pls respond. Need your feedback on the new cleansers from Loreal – Go 360. I have always had very dry skin which becomes flaky in winters. but since last few months my forehead, chin, areas around mouth and the small crevices between nose and cheeks on both sides have become oily leading to frequent outbreaks of black/white heads and pimples. Though my cheeks are still dry. Pls suggest what kind of moisturisers, cleansers I should use.

Priyanka Chopra/Deepika Padukone would be a good match for your skin tone…you can read my ” Lipsticks for brown girls ” post as well as ” my favourite lipstick shades” post to get a better idea of lip colors to wear. Nice pink lipsticks for you would be mac plumful, mac cosmo, mac creme in your coffee….

hhehhhee….;) but mehek, i spoke with my friend, but according to her im not of piggy’s or dippy’s colour (i mean not brown ) she said i have a yellowish white in colour.. and she is not able to mention a particular actress on the same colour..!! i guess i had send you a bad lighting foto..;( and also no make up as i said before.
Ya you have yellow undertones thats why yr an NC..im giving you a reference shade for things that look good on them will also look good on you…doesnt mean yr xactly their skintone…

YUP..YUP..!!u r right.. finally i could find it..!! deepika seems to be more brownish than my skin, Genelia seems to be some what similiar..!! i like the way she do her make up also and i just love Dia Mirza ‘z simple style. so may be i will try mixing shades used by 3 of them (Dippy, Dia & Genelia). Yesterday night we had a party, and i applied my TBS normal foundation (06) and only on the T area y applied little bourjois healthy balance compact powder(light beige) ,maxfactor mulberry blush, in mirror and as per my hubby also it was looking good, it gave a look similiar to my face but in a fresh way. but when the photos where clicked(with flash), i was totally unsatisfied, i could see myself ashy esp in the chin area. i applied compact powder becoz mine is combination skin. can you please advice why do we look ashy in photos and how to avoid it?
You look ashy because not all foundations photograph very well….some of them have SPF which reflect light…For photographic events, you need to be wearing a foundation that photographs well under flash photography…..also ..indians have a darker chin area, than the rest of the face so it almost almost looks different…my theory is also that your body shop foundation is not yellow enough..iv used it…and its beigey in color so it makes me look ashy in snaps too even though i like it otherwise…..i liek the body shop extra virgin one for snaps, the lakme invisible finish one, the Mac studio fix , and Kryolan Paint Tube. Lots of people also recommed the revlon photoready foundation bt since iv not used it i cant say…i ahve a feeling even your bourjois healthy mix will be good with snaps.
hmm.. guess i need to buy something from the above said. but somehow i had an asumption that may be as i had put compact up on foundation that happened..!! actually only my nose shines, so can i avoid compact powder upon foundation? or i guess i should try loos powder when i wear foundation and keep compact powder only for casual wear (just with the moisturiser). what you say?

I am so glad to see your reviews on MAC cosmetic for Indian skin tone. One of the makeup artist in MAC said that I am a C4 when he used foundation. Since I am new to this, can you please tell me what does that mean. Is NC 40 same as C4?

Could you tell where could I find Tom Ford lipsticks and perfumes in India. I know its in the grey markets we could take chances as you get them in India. Know of any store in Delhi. Mumbai doesnt have it.
Delhi doesnt have it either Avanti…We do get benefit and a bit of nars and bobbi brown via grey market in Delhi..so you might want to check kunchals in GK 1 as they seemt o have a lot of this stuff, but i dont remember seeing tom ford there!

I am getting married in october end and would be doing the shopping in delhi. I have gone thru ur post about the wedding lehanga in delhi ; however need some pointers here. I am yet to embark upon the shopping journey as I am just finishing my last working week in Pune and coming back to Delhi Next week. Could you suggest the latest fad for lehanga these days , my budget is 40-60k at strech and yeah for some reason I cant wear Red ,Pink and Maroon ( Some tradition

Ooh orange is a great color. peach + orange looks very pretty, even a blue blouse like i wpore for my wedding with a orange lehenga will be nice (my one dupatta was orange). What about yellow? Emerald green- mint green with turquoise and emeralg green- gorgeous.
Yellow is obvious favourite to me and I was earlier thinking of Green and Yellow. I wore an anarkali in yellow and green for my roka ceremony.

Shahpur jat and hauz khaz are both quite expensive..i mean if yr looking at a gown fr engagement i dont hink yll find anythingf below 30K…

i mehakk U r doing a grt job i mst say bt i really want to ask which foundation or base i should use to make my skin glorious n fairer once i used kylon derma range no d 4 i ws satisfied wid dis to look my skin fair bt dere ws no glow n recently i purchased supracolor G 165 n i think i should use lighter shade dan dis coz that is giving little darker complexion to me so plzzz sugest a goo
You can use a normal tinted moisturizer for daily wear, i dont know how much coverage you need. For glow+ evenness i like mac face and body foundation only…otherwise use the kryolan one, and for glow use a highlighter…
As u said in one of your blog dat it is nt to be wore everday so o tell on normally wat should i use i m eagerly waiting fr ur replyyyy
